Blender does'nt have users, they have super fans. I am one of them, just bcaz they gave me an alternative to the then hegemony of autodesk & their ilk. I backed one of their short films , thats how they developed new tools back then. I tried promoting blender with all my students, but as we know its a tough tool to start out with & its hard to get beginners to persist with Blender. Even now, I track their progress & root for them.
